2014 : Year of Exchanges between India & China

  • Chinese Premier Li Keqiang who came to India on a three-day state visit on 19 May, 2013 has declared 2014 as the year of exchanges between the two countries in order to enhance friendship and understanding.
  • He made this declaration on 21 May, 2013 while addressing captains of Indian industry at a function organised by FICCI in New Delhi.
  • The objective of the Year 2014 would be peaceful co-existence between India and China, which will be of global significance.
  • Stability and peace in South-East Asia region will also be the aim of 2014 Year of exchanges between India & China.
